Without our volunteers we would unable to meet demand for advice and information. In return we offer our volunteers training and the opportunity to acquire transferrable skills while helping members of their local community.

At North Warwickshire CAB we recruit volunteers 3 times a year; we do this as all of our volunteers go through a structured training programme and it is more effective for volunteers to go through the training in groups.

Our recruitment process is as follows:-

When someone expresses interest in volunteering with us they are invited to attend a group discussion where we explain what CABx do and tell you about our free training programme. During this group discussion we will be able to tell you which roles are currently available. You will have the opportunity to tell us what you are interested in doing and ask us questions.

Volunteering at a CAB is a commitment as we require regular attendance for a minimum number of hours per week, and the willingness to come to regular training events – as we provide a service to members of the public we need to ensure the standards and reliability of what we do.

Our volunteer roles include the following:-

• Volunteer Trainer
  
• Social Policy Worker

We provide full training for all roles and it is possible to progress through a number of roles.

Should you decide that you would like to apply for a volunteer role we will ask you to complete an application form and attend an interview. We always take up references for volunteers. If your application is successful you will be invited to attend an induction programme and then begin your training.

You are supported every step of the way and your travel expenses are paid.
